Key Responsibilities

  • Create press releases, media pitches, and content for local media outlets in the Midwest region
  • Manage social media and digital campaigns to promote the firm's financial literacy programs and philanthropy efforts
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align communications with business goals, such as sustainable finance and inclusive banking
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional journalists, community leaders, and stakeholders
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on the effectiveness of communication efforts
  • Support event planning for community outreach, including town halls and financial education workshops
  • Ensure all communications adhere to JP Morgan Chase's brand standards and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate on crisis response plans for regional issues affecting the financial services sector

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in communications, media relations, or public affairs, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of community engagement and corporate social responsibility in a banking context
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives
