Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional communications strategies to support JP Morgan Chase's public relations and public affairs objectives in the Salt Lake City area
  • Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and influencers to enhance brand visibility and manage media coverage
  • Create press releases, speeches, and other content tailored to financial services topics, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging and regulatory standards
  • Monitor regional news and public affairs trends impacting the financial industry, providing insights to senior leadership
  • Coordinate internal communications initiatives to keep employees informed about company updates and regional events
  • Support crisis communications efforts by preparing response materials and liaising with external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, legal, and compliance, to ensure consistent and compliant messaging
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of communications campaigns using metrics and reporting tools

  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership content on financial topics relevant to the Western U.S. market

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in communications, public relations, or public affairs within the financial services industry
  • Proven ability to manage media relations and craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environments and compliance requirements in banking and finance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
