Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive state and local government relations strategies for California, Alaska, and Hawaii to advance JPMorganChase's policy objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with elected officials, regulators, and community leaders to foster advocacy and support for the firm's initiatives
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in the West Region, providing timely analysis and recommendations to senior leadership
• Lead advocacy efforts on key issues such as banking regulations, financial inclusion, housing finance, and economic development
• Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and business units, to align government relations activities with JPMorganChase's broader goals
• Represent JPMorganChase at state and local events, hearings, and coalitions to promote the firm's perspective on public policy matters
• Manage a team of government relations professionals, providing guidance and ensuring effective execution of regional strategies
• Prepare briefing materials, testimony, and reports for internal and external stakeholders on policy impacts to the financial services industry
• Identify opportunities for corporate social responsibility initiatives that enhance JPMorganChase's reputation in state and local communities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field; advanced degree (JD, Master's) strongly preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in state and local government relations, public policy, or advocacy within the financial services sector
• Proven track record of leading policy strategies and stakeholder engagement in California, Alaska, or Hawaii
• Deep knowledge of state and local regulatory environments, including banking, financial services, and economic development policies
• Experience working with elected officials, government agencies, and trade associations at the state and local levels
• Ability to travel frequently within the West Region (CA, AK, HI) and to JPMorganChase headquarters as needed

• Prior experience in a leadership role at a major financial institution or regulatory body
• Established network of relationships with key policymakers in California, Alaska, and Hawaii
• Familiarity with JPMorganChase's business lines, including consumer banking, investment banking, and commercial real estate
