About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on regulatory changes impacting JP Morgan Chase's International Consumer Business, including Chase UK and JPM Personal Investing
  • Assess and implement updates to policies and procedures in response to new UK, EU, and global financial regulations
  • Collaborate with compliance, risk, and business teams to ensure regulatory adherence in digital banking initiatives
  • Draft and review legal documents, opinions, and guidance on regulatory matters
  • Monitor regulatory developments from bodies like the FCA, PRA, and ESMA, providing proactive insights
  • Support internal training and awareness programs on regulatory changes
  • Manage stakeholder engagement with regulators and external counsel on change initiatives
  • Contribute to the firm's response to regulatory consultations and enforcement actions
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks arising from business expansions in consumer finance

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in regulatory law, preferably in financial services
  • Admitted to practice in the UK or another common law jurisdiction, with strong knowledge of UK and EU financial regulations
  • Proven experience advising on regulatory change management, including impacts from FCA, PRA, and EU directives
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent, with additional qualifications such as a Master's in Financial Law or regulatory compliance
  • Experience working in a global financial institution, handling cross-border regulatory issues
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Prior experience at a bulge-bracket bank like JP Morgan Chase, focusing on consumer banking regulations
