Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance for JPMorgan Chase's banking and investment activities in the UK and EU
  • Draft and review regulatory filings, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to FCA and PRA requirements
  • Collaborate with business teams to assess and mitigate regulatory risks in product development and client dealings
  • Monitor and interpret changes in financial regulations, advising on their impact to senior management
  • Support internal investigations and regulatory inquiries, preparing responses and representations
  • Advise on anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and conduct of business rules
  • Contribute to firm-wide regulatory projects, including Brexit-related adaptations and ESG compliance
  • Liaise with external regulators and counsel to represent JPMorgan Chase's interests
  • Develop training materials and conduct sessions on regulatory topics for legal and business teams

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in regulatory law within the financial services sector
  • In-depth knowledge of UK and EU financial regulations, including FCA, PRA, and MiFID II
  • Proven experience advising on compliance matters in banking and capital markets
  • Strong academic background, preferably with a law degree from a top-tier institution
  • Admission to practice in the UK or equivalent jurisdiction
  • Experience working in a global financial institution or top-tier law firm

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in financial regulation or international law
  • Experience with cross-border regulatory issues in the EU and US
  • Prior role in a regulatory compliance team at a major bank
  • Fluency in additional languages such as French or German
