Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support qualification and credit decision criteria for consumer card prescreen acquisitions to optimize portfolio growth while managing risk
  • Analyze historical data and performance metrics to refine risk models and decision thresholds for card applications
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to build and validate predictive models for creditworthiness assessment
  • Monitor and report on key risk indicators, including approval rates, default rates, and portfolio performance
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives in card acquisition and respond to regulatory inquiries
  • Partner with business stakeholders to balance risk appetite with acquisition goals in compliance with internal policies
  • Utilize advanced analytics to identify trends in consumer behavior and recommend adjustments to prescreen strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit risk management, analytics, or modeling within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of consumer credit products, including credit cards and prescreen acquisition strategies
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling using tools like SQL, Python, or R
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in credit decisioning, such as FCRA and ECOA
  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform risk assessments in a fast-paced environment
