Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of data governance strategies for the Risk Management & Compliance Chief Data Office, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan Chase's enterprise data standards
• Oversee end-to-end data management processes, including data acquisition, storage, quality assurance, and lifecycle management across business and technology domains
• Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to identify, assess, and mitigate data-related risks in financial operations
• Drive the adoption of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support regulatory compliance and audit requirements
• Manage data lineage and metadata initiatives to enhance traceability and accountability in data usage for risk modeling and reporting
• Partner with technology teams to integrate data management tools and platforms that improve efficiency and scalability
• Conduct regular assessments of data quality and provide recommendations for remediation in high-stakes financial environments
• Foster a culture of data literacy and governance awareness through training and stakeholder engagement
• Monitor emerging trends in data privacy and security to proactively update governance practices at JP Morgan Chase
• Report on key data management metrics and KPIs to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in data management, governance, or compliance within the financial services industry
• Proven track record in leading end-to-end data governance initiatives across business and technology functions
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and Basel III in the context of financial data
• Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and data quality frameworks in large-scale enterprise environments
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including risk, compliance, and IT stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or MBA in a relevant discipline
• Certification in data governance (e.g., CDMP) or risk management (e.g., CRISC)
• Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Knowledge of AI/ML applications in data governance and compliance
• Experience implementing data management solutions in a cloud-based environment (e.g., AWS, Azure)
