Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain credit risk control frameworks to ensure accurate measurement and reporting of credit exposures across JP Morgan Chase's portfolios
  • Perform independent validation and control testing of credit risk models, including probability of default (PD), loss given default (LGD), and exposure at default (EAD)
  • Collaborate with front-office trading, risk management, and finance teams to assess and mitigate credit risks in wholesale and retail lending activities
  • Monitor and report on key credit risk metrics, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as Dodd-Frank and CCAR
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and stress testing to support senior management decision-making on credit risk appetite
  • Identify and escalate potential control deficiencies or emerging risks in credit portfolios
  • Support the implementation of new regulatory requirements and enhancements to risk management infrastructure
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of credit risk reporting dashboards and analytics tools
  • Liaise with auditors and regulators during examinations of JP Morgan Chase's credit risk practices
  • Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of risk awareness within the organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit risk management, financial controlling, or related roles within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of credit risk methodologies, including Basel regulations and IFRS 9
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools
  • Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance in a banking environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • CFA, FRM, or similar professional certification
