Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation and underwriting of multifamily commercial real estate loan requests, assessing creditworthiness and risk exposure
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis of borrower financials, property valuations, and market conditions to support credit decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including origination, portfolio management, and legal, to ensure comprehensive risk assessment
  • Develop and recommend credit structures, pricing, and covenants to mitigate risks while supporting business growth
  • Monitor ongoing loan portfolios for early warning signs of credit deterioration and recommend remedial actions
  • Prepare credit memos, presentations, and reports for senior management and credit committees
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors impacting multifamily real estate
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of credit risk policies and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase's risk management frameworks and internal controls

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in credit risk management, with a focus on commercial real estate lending
  • Proven track record in underwriting and analyzing multifamily loan requests
  • Strong knowledge of commercial real estate markets, particularly in the multifamily sector
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in banking, including Basel III and Dodd-Frank requirements
