Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage SD-WAN solutions to optimize connectivity across JPMorgan Chase's global financial network
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to ensure low-latency, high-availability for trading platforms and customer-facing applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SD-WAN with existing infrastructure, including data centers and cloud environments
  • Conduct regular security assessments and implement policies to protect sensitive financial data in transit
  • Develop and maintain documentation for network architectures, configurations, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Lead optimization projects to reduce costs and improve efficiency in bandwidth usage for international branches
  • Provide on-call support for network incidents, minimizing downtime in 24/7 financial operations
  • Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and recommend innovations to enhance JPMorgan Chase's competitive edge
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the Infrastructure Engineering team
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for financial data security and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on SD-WAN technologies
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IPsec
  • Experience with SD-WAN platforms such as Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud, or Silver Peak
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization tools
  • Understanding of financial services regulations and security standards like PCI-DSS and SOX
  • Ability to work in a high-availability environment supporting mission-critical financial systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification
  • Experience in cloud networking with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud integration for SD-WAN
  • Prior work in a large-scale financial institution handling global network operations
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Python scripting, or Terraform for network configuration
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices specific to financial networks, including zero-trust architectures
