Key Responsibilities

• Direct multiple technical areas including software development, data engineering, and infrastructure for JP Morgan's core banking platforms
• Manage the activities of multiple departments, overseeing 100+ engineers to deliver scalable solutions for global financial services
• Collaborate across technical domains with stakeholders in risk, compliance, and operations to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Drive the adoption of innovative technologies like cloud-native architectures and microservices to enhance transaction processing efficiency
• Lead strategic planning for software engineering roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives that mitigate financial risks and improve customer experience
• Mentor and develop senior engineering leaders, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within JP Morgan's technology organization
• Oversee budget allocation and resource management for high-impact projects in investment banking and asset management
• Ensure all engineering practices comply with industry regulations and JP Morgan's internal security standards
• Facilitate cross-border collaboration between Hyderabad teams and global counterparts to accelerate product delivery

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 8 years in leadership roles managing large-scale teams
• Proven track record of directing multiple technical areas in a financial services environment, including risk management and compliance systems
• Deep expertise in agile methodologies and DevOps practices for high-stakes financial applications
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across global locations, with a focus on regulatory compliance such as GDPR and SOX
• Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure in the context of banking infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources for multi-departmental software initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Business Administration
• Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Certification in project management (PMP) or cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML integration in financial trading or fraud detection systems
• International experience leading engineering teams in Asia-Pacific regions

Required Skills

• Expertise in Java, Python, or Scala for enterprise-level financial applications
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of database systems like SQL and NoSQL for handling financial data
