Key Responsibilities

• Prospect and cultivate relationships with potential homebuyers, real estate agents, and community partners in Brooklyn to generate high-quality mortgage leads
• Conduct comprehensive financial assessments and pre-qualify clients for home loans, tailoring solutions to their unique needs using JP Morgan Chase's suite of products
• Guide clients through the entire mortgage origination process, from application to closing, ensuring a seamless and compliant experience
• Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and sales teams to expedite loan approvals and resolve any issues efficiently
• Achieve and exceed individual and branch sales targets for mortgage originations while maintaining high customer satisfaction scores
• Stay abreast of market trends, interest rates, and regulatory changes to provide expert advice on optimal financing options
• Participate in community outreach events and networking activities to enhance JP Morgan Chase's presence in the Brooklyn market
• Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and ensure all documentation complies with Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and other federal guidelines
• Mentor junior team members on best practices in home lending and sales techniques

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage lending or home financing within the financial services industry
• Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license with NMLS registration
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a competitive lending environment
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state lending regulations, including FHA, VA, and conventional loan programs
• Strong understanding of credit analysis, underwriting processes, and risk assessment in home lending
• Ability to work independently in a branch setting while collaborating with broader JP Morgan Chase teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) or equivalent
• Experience working in a high-volume retail banking environment at a major financial institution
• Familiarity with JP Morgan Chase's proprietary lending platforms and tools
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, given the diverse Brooklyn community
• Previous leadership experience mentoring junior lending advisors
