Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and originate residential mortgage loans for prospective homebuyers in the Encinitas and greater San Diego area
  • Conduct comprehensive client consultations to assess financial needs and recommend tailored Chase home lending solutions
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through networking, referrals, and community events
  • Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and internal Chase partners to ensure seamless loan processing and closing
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the homeownership journey, from pre-approval to post-closing support
  • Achieve or exceed monthly sales goals while adhering to all compliance and risk management standards
  • Leverage Chase's digital tools and marketing resources to enhance client engagement and conversion rates
  • Stay updated on market trends, interest rates, and regulatory changes to provide expert advice
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to branch-level sales strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage lending or home financing origination
  • Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license with NMLS registration
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a competitive financial services environment
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state lending regulations, including TRID and HMDA
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, underwriting processes, and loan structuring
  • Ability to work independently in a branch setting while collaborating with broader Chase teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) or equivalent
  • Experience with digital lending platforms and CRM systems like Salesforce
