Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new client relationships through community events, referrals, and branch partnerships in the Louisville area to drive home lending opportunities
  • Guide clients through the entire home financing process, from initial consultation to loan closing, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience
  • Analyze client financial profiles to recommend suitable mortgage products, including conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo loans offered by JP Morgan Chase
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as underwriters and processors, to expedite loan approvals and resolve any issues efficiently
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets for loan originations while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with all regulations
  • Educate clients on current market trends, interest rates, and financing options to build trust and facilitate informed decision-making
  • Maintain accurate records in JP Morgan Chase's systems, ensuring all documentation complies with lending policies and legal requirements
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on JP Morgan Chase's product innovations and industry best practices
  • Foster long-term client relationships to generate repeat business and referrals within the financial services sector

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage lending, home financing, or related sales roles within the financial services industry
  • Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license in Kentucky, with NMLS registration
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in home lending or consumer banking
  • Strong understanding of federal and state lending regulations, including TRID, HMDA, and RESPA
  • Excellent credit history and ability to pass JP Morgan Chase's background check and fingerprinting requirements
  • Proficiency in mortgage origination software and CRM systems used in financial services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) or equivalent
