Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new client relationships through community events, referrals, and branch partnerships in the San Jose area
  • Guide clients through the home lending process, from initial consultation to loan closing, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience
  • Analyze client financial profiles to recommend suitable mortgage products, including conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo loans
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and processors, to expedite loan approvals and resolve issues efficiently
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals by originating high-quality loans that align with JP Morgan Chase's risk and compliance standards
  • Educate clients on current market trends, interest rates, and financing options to build trust and drive business growth
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in mortgage origination
  • Leverage digital tools and CRM systems to track leads, manage pipelines, and report on sales performance
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on lending products and industry best practices
  • Contribute to team success by sharing insights and supporting branch initiatives in San Jose

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage lending or home financing within the financial services industry
  • Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license with NMLS registration
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in residential mortgage origination
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state lending regulations, including TRID and HMDA
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, underwriting processes, and risk assessment in home lending
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) or equivalent
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients or in a branch-based lending role at a major bank
  • Familiarity with JP Morgan Chase's proprietary lending platforms and tools
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another language spoken in the San Jose community
