Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of target state architecture for debit products across multiple domains, including payments, risk management, and customer experience
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to align technical solutions with strategic business objectives at JP Morgan Chase
• Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and best practices to ensure scalability, security, and reliability in debit processing systems
• Conduct architecture reviews, assess technical debt, and recommend modernization strategies for legacy debit platforms
• Drive innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging technologies such as cloud-native services, AI-driven fraud detection, and blockchain for secure transactions
• Mentor junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of architectural excellence within the team
• Partner with global teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and seamless integration across JP Morgan's international debit offerings
• Develop roadmaps for debit product architecture, prioritizing initiatives that deliver measurable business impact like reduced transaction latency or enhanced customer security
• Analyze performance metrics and lead optimization efforts to support high-volume debit transactions in a 24/7 financial services environment
• Contribute to enterprise-wide architecture governance, influencing decisions on technology stack and vendor integrations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in financial services or banking technology
• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable architectures for payment systems, particularly debit products
• Deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments within large-scale financial institutions
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in financial services, including PCI DSS and GDPR
• Ability to travel occasionally for global team collaborations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JP Morgan Chase's internal tools and platforms, such as proprietary payment processing systems
• Certification in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Architect)
• Prior work on debit card ecosystems, including real-time transaction processing and fraud detection
• Knowledge of emerging fintech trends like open banking and ISO 20022 standards
• MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Business Administration
