Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure digital applications that support JP Morgan Chase's global banking operations
• Lead cross-functional teams in developing cloud-based solutions using AWS or Azure, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps for digital initiatives
• Ensure architectural designs comply with financial regulations and mitigate risks in high-volume transaction environments
• Mentor junior architects and developers on best practices for microservices, event-driven architectures, and API management
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies like AI and machine learning into digital platforms for enhanced customer experiences
• Conduct code reviews, performance optimizations, and disaster recovery planning for mission-critical applications
• Drive innovation in digital banking solutions, such as mobile apps and online portals, to improve efficiency and user satisfaction
• Monitor and optimize application performance metrics in real-time trading and payment systems
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to embed security-by-design principles in all architectural decisions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in digital application development within the financial services sector
• Proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation projects in a banking or fintech environment
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and API-driven ecosystems
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and SOX in financial applications
• Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in high-stakes financial systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Cloud Professional Architect
• Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Knowledge of blockchain or AI/ML integration in digital banking platforms
• Experience leading architecture for mobile and web applications in consumer banking
