Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data architecture solutions to support JP Morgan Chase's analytics initiatives, focusing on scalability and performance
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to define data requirements for financial reporting, risk assessment, and customer insights
• Oversee the development of data pipelines and integration strategies using tools like Hadoop, Spark, and cloud services to handle high-volume transactional data
• Ensure data architectures comply with industry regulations and internal governance standards, mitigating risks in financial operations
• Mentor and guide a team of data architects, fostering innovation in areas like real-time analytics for trading and portfolio management
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance data management, such as AI-driven data governance for JP Morgan's global operations
• Conduct architectural reviews and optimizations to improve data accessibility and efficiency across Chase's digital banking platforms
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to architect secure data environments, protecting sensitive client information in compliance with financial sector mandates
• Drive cross-functional projects to integrate disparate data sources, enabling advanced analytics for corporate strategy and decision-making

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within financial services
• Proven track record of designing scalable data solutions for analytics and reporting in a large-scale enterprise environment
• Deep expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and cloud-based data platforms
• Experience with regulatory compliance in financial data handling, such as GDPR, SOX, and Basel III
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams in a global organization
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
• Experience with big data technologies in a banking context, including fraud detection and risk modeling
• Prior work at a major financial institution, ideally with exposure to investment banking or asset management
