Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of infrastructure for electronic trading services, ensuring low-latency and high availability
• Collaborate with trading, risk, and compliance teams to align infrastructure with business objectives in the financial services sector
• Drive infrastructure engineering initiatives across multiple domains, including networking, compute, and storage for global trading platforms
• Implement and maintain scalable, resilient systems using cloud-native technologies to support high-volume transaction processing
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and best practices in infrastructure engineering
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for trading systems to handle peak market volumes
• Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements, including data encryption and audit trails for financial transactions
• Integrate monitoring and alerting tools to proactively manage infrastructure health in real-time trading environments
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance trading infrastructure efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years in financial services or high-frequency trading environments
• Proven track record in designing and implementing low-latency trading infrastructure
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with hands-on experience in scalable distributed systems
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in financial markets, including Singapore's MAS guidelines
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments to deliver mission-critical projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or DevOps tools
• Prior experience with electronic trading platforms like FIX protocol or market data feeds
• Knowledge of machine learning applications in trading infrastructure optimization
• Familiarity with Singapore's financial ecosystem and cross-border trading regulations

Required Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ for infrastructure automation
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, multicast, and low-latency optimizations
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar for continuous deployment
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk for real-time analytics
• Understanding of database systems, including SQL/NoSQL for high-throughput data handling
• Skills in cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems under high-pressure trading scenarios
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for optimizing system performance
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-team partnerships
• Knowledge of security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira
