Key Responsibilities

• Lead the evaluation and optimization of x86 hardware performance for JP Morgan Chase's global infrastructure, ensuring low-latency and high-throughput for trading and risk management systems
• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions that integrate x86 servers with cloud and on-premise environments to support financial services applications
• Conduct performance benchmarking and analysis using tools like Intel VTune, AMD uProf, and custom scripts to identify bottlenecks in production systems
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to tune hardware configurations for optimal execution of algorithmic trading and data analytics workloads
• Drive innovation in hardware selection and procurement, evaluating emerging x86 technologies for cost-efficiency and compliance in the financial sector
• Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-domain projects spanning networking, storage, and compute resources
• Ensure infrastructure resilience and disaster recovery capabilities, adhering to JP Morgan's risk management standards
• Monitor and report on hardware performance metrics, providing insights to senior leadership on infrastructure investments
• Integrate security best practices into hardware evaluations to protect sensitive financial data

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on x86 hardware performance optimization and evaluation
• Proven track record in designing and implementing high-performance computing solutions in a financial services environment
• Deep knowledge of x86 architecture, including Intel and AMD processors, and performance benchmarking tools
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments supporting mission-critical financial applications
• Strong understanding of financial regulations such as SOX, GDPR, and PCI-DSS compliance in infrastructure design
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in resolving complex infrastructure challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications in x86 hardware (e.g., Intel Certified Architect) or performance analysis tools
• Experience in low-latency systems for high-frequency trading or real-time financial data processing
• Familiarity with AI/ML workloads on x86 platforms in a banking context
• Prior work at a major financial institution, ideally with exposure to global trading platforms
• PhD in a relevant engineering field with research in hardware performance
