Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-wide network architectures to support JP Morgan Chase's global trading and banking operations in EMEA
• Oversee network security protocols and risk management to ensure compliance with financial regulations and protect sensitive client data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, application development, and business units, to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions
• Drive innovation in network technologies, such as SD-WAN and zero-trust models, to enhance performance and resilience for high-stakes financial transactions
• Mentor and develop a team of network engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
• Conduct regular audits and performance tuning of network systems to minimize downtime and support 24/7 global operations
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging technologies to align with JP Morgan Chase's strategic IT roadmap
• Respond to and resolve critical network incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business continuity in a fast-paced financial environment
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies for EMEA data centers and trading floors

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role within a large-scale financial services environment
• Proven track record of leading complex network infrastructure projects in a global, regulated industry like banking
• Deep expertise in network protocols, security standards, and compliance requirements such as PCI-DSS and GDPR
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) integrated with on-premises financial systems
• Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams across EMEA regions
• Certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent in network engineering and cybersecurity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a top-tier investment bank or financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Knowledge of high-frequency trading networks and low-latency infrastructure
• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform for network orchestration
• Previous exposure to EMEA-specific regulatory frameworks and data sovereignty laws
• MBA or advanced certification in financial technology (FinTech)

• Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
