Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data lake solutions on AWS using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver critical technology solutions supporting JP Morgan's financial services platforms, including risk analytics and trading systems
• Implement secure, compliant data pipelines that handle sensitive financial data while adhering to regulatory requirements
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable codebases
• Optimize data lake architectures for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability in high-volume transaction environments
• Integrate data lake components with enterprise systems, enabling real-time insights for business stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for mission-critical applications
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging AWS technologies and incorporating them into JP Morgan's tech stack
• Contribute to documentation, testing strategies, and DevOps practices to enhance team productivity
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and compliance officers, to align technical solutions with business objectives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on cloud infrastructure and data platforms
• Proven expertise in AWS services, including S3, Glue, Athena, and Lambda for data lake implementations
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) in multi-cloud environments
• Experience in agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams in financial services
• Deep knowledge of data security, compliance standards like GDPR and SOX, and secure coding practices
• Ability to design scalable, high-availability systems handling petabyte-scale financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka in a financial context
• Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Terraform Associate
• Prior work at a major financial institution, with exposure to trading, risk management, or compliance systems
