Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable electronic trading platforms that support high-volume transactions across global markets
• Collaborate with traders, quants, and business stakeholders to identify and implement innovative trading solutions
• Architect robust, low-latency systems integrating multiple technologies, including messaging queues and database optimization
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing
• Drive the adoption of modern technologies such as containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines in trading applications
• Ensure system reliability, performance tuning, and compliance with JP Morgan's risk management and regulatory standards
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues in production environments, and optimize for cost-efficiency
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, such as migrating legacy trading systems to cloud-native architectures
• Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to enhance JP Morgan's competitive edge in electronic trading

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in financial services or electronic trading systems
• Proficiency in Java, C++, or Python for developing high-performance trading applications
• Strong understanding of electronic trading protocols such as FIX and market data feeds
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-functional teams
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure environments in a fast-paced trading floor

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with low-latency trading systems and real-time data processing in capital markets
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance in financial trading, including MiFID II or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in a financial services context
• Prior work at a major investment bank or trading firm, with exposure to APAC markets
