Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable cloud solutions on GCP and AWS to support JPMorgan Chase's public cloud adoption strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect secure, compliant applications for financial services workloads
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in cloud development, including DevOps and automation
• Evaluate and integrate emerging cloud technologies to optimize performance, cost, and reliability in banking platforms
• Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to security standards, and mitigate risks in high-stakes financial environments
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery for cloud-based trading and risk management systems
• Troubleshoot complex issues in production cloud environments and implement proactive monitoring solutions
• Contribute to strategic initiatives for cloud migration, ensuring minimal disruption to core banking operations
• Stay abreast of industry trends in fintech cloud adoption and recommend innovations to senior leadership

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on cloud platforms
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying applications on GCP and/or AWS
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, including microservices, containers, and serverless computing
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of security best practices in financial services, including compliance with regulations like GDPR and SOX
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in agile environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Cloud Professional Architect
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in banking or payments systems
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Kafka, Spark, or BigQuery in cloud environments
• Prior leadership role in migrating on-premises applications to public cloud

• Expertise in GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage)

• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Go
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CDK
• Understanding of cloud security frameworks (e.g., IAM, encryption, VPC peering)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Stackdriver, or Prometheus
• Skills in database management (e.g., RDS, BigQuery, DynamoDB)
