Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical software applications that drive business outcomes in JPMorgan Chase's financial services operations
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Architect scalable systems using cloud-native technologies to support high-volume financial transactions and real-time analytics
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and regulatory compliance in all software deliverables
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications handling sensitive financial data
• Drive code reviews, testing strategies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, such as modernizing legacy systems or integrating AI/ML for fraud detection
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend their adoption to enhance JPMorgan's competitive edge
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain system reliability for 24/7 global operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
• Proven track record of leading development teams in building scalable applications within the financial services sector
• Strong understanding of financial systems, including risk management, compliance, and trading platforms
• Experience with agile methodologies and full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex, high-stakes projects
• Authorization to work in India without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing software for investment banking or asset management at a global firm
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, SOX, or Basel III
• Advanced certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Java SE Programmer
• Prior leadership in cross-functional teams spanning multiple geographies
• Knowledge of blockchain or fintech innovations relevant to JPMorgan's initiatives

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ for backend development
• Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Terraform
