Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust Java-based backend services for JP Morgan Chase's market-leading financial products
• Collaborate with agile teams including product managers, data scientists, and frontend developers to deliver secure, scalable solutions
• Architect and optimize systems to handle high-volume transaction processing and real-time data analytics in compliance with financial regulations
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the team
• Conduct code reviews, implement best practices for security, performance, and maintainability in backend applications
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance platform capabilities for global banking and investment operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on Java backend development
• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable, secure backend systems in a financial services environment
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced settings
• Expertise in building high-performance applications handling large-scale financial data and transactions
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence in enterprise-level projects

• Experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on financial workloads
