Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of resilient, scalable software solutions on cloud platforms to support JP Morgan Chase's financial services operations
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architectures that ensure technical excellence
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering innovation and adherence to coding standards in a fast-paced fintech environment
• Implement secure, compliant systems handling sensitive financial data, adhering to industry regulations and internal security protocols
• Optimize application performance and scalability for high-volume trading, payments, and risk management systems
• Drive agile methodologies, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Conduct technical assessments and proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies like AI and cloud-native services
• Ensure system reliability through robust testing, monitoring, and incident response strategies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong understanding of financial services technologies, including secure data handling and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments, delivering high-impact projects in fintech
• Proficiency in full-stack development with modern programming languages and frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and drive technical best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing solutions for capital markets, payments, or investment banking at a global financial institution
• Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or DevOps tools
• Background in machine learning or AI applications for financial risk modeling
• Prior work with JP Morgan Chase or similar tier-1 banks, focusing on resilient system design
