Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance platform services using GoLang, Java, and AWS to support JP Morgan Chase's core banking applications
  • Lead the architecture of scalable, resilient systems that handle high-volume financial transactions and ensure 99.99% uptime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and compliance experts to integrate platform features into financial products
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline to accelerate development cycles
  • Mentor junior engineers on best practices for secure coding and AWS resource management in a regulated financial environment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, minimizing impact on trading and customer-facing services
  • Drive innovation by evaluating emerging AWS technologies and incorporating them into the platform to enhance efficiency and cost savings
  • Ensure all platform components adhere to JP Morgan's security standards and financial regulations such as GDPR and SOX

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development
  • Proficiency in GoLang and Java, including building scalable microservices
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and ECS
  • Strong understanding of platform engineering principles, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
  • Experience in financial services or high-stakes environments handling sensitive data
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for working with financial systems

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes in AWS environments
