Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of proprietary wallet platforms to enable seamless digital payments within JP Morgan Chase's Connected Commerce ecosystem
• Architect scalable, secure systems that integrate with global payment networks and support high-volume transactions
• Mentor and guide a team of senior engineers, fostering engineering excellence and best practices in code quality and testing
• Collaborate with product managers, compliance teams, and stakeholders to innovate in digital payment solutions aligned with financial regulations
• Drive technical roadmaps for connected commerce features, including API integrations and real-time processing capabilities
• Conduct code reviews, implement CI/CD pipelines, and ensure system reliability and performance in production environments
• Identify and mitigate risks in payment systems, incorporating advanced security measures like encryption and fraud detection
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies in fintech, such as tokenization and open banking, to enhance platform capabilities
• Partner with global teams to deploy solutions across JP Morgan Chase's international operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in fintech or financial services
• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable payment systems or digital wallet platforms
• Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional engineering teams in agile environments
• Deep expertise in secure software development practices compliant with financial regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR)
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices in high-volume transaction environments
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in digital payments and connected commerce solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Familiarity with blockchain or cryptocurrency technologies for proprietary wallets
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for financial applications
• Prior involvement in regulatory audits for payment systems
