Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable market data solutions using Python and AWS services to support global trading operations at JP Morgan Chase
• Develop and implement microservices architectures that ensure high availability and low-latency data processing for financial applications
• Lead a team of engineers in adopting best engineering practices, including code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including traders, quants, and compliance teams, to define and deliver innovative data solutions
• Optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS to handle petabyte-scale market data ingestion and analytics
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence across global teams in Jersey City and other locations
• Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements such as SEC, FINRA, and internal JP Morgan governance standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real-time trading environments, minimizing downtime
• Contribute to the evolution of JP Morgan's technology stack by evaluating emerging tools and frameworks
• Document architectures and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing within the firm

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on Python development
• Proven experience in architecting and deploying scalable applications on AWS cloud platforms
• Strong background in financial services, particularly market data systems and trading platforms
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in a global environment
• Deep knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex, high-stakes financial data challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with real-time data processing frameworks such as Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis
• Familiarity with JP Morgan's internal tools and compliance standards in financial technology
• Advanced certifications in AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional)
• Prior leadership in agile methodologies and DevOps practices within fintech
• Domain expertise in equities, fixed income, or derivatives market data
