Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions that drive business outcomes in JP Morgan Chase's Tokyo operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders, risk managers, and compliance officers, to address diverse technical challenges across multiple applications
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the team
• Implement best practices for code quality, security, and performance optimization in financial systems
• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance trading platforms, risk analytics, and client services
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure system reliability in a 24/7 global environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on building scalable applications in financial services
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams in delivering high-impact projects within a global financial institution
• Deep expertise in Java, Python, or similar languages, with experience in cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, risk management, and compliance in the banking sector
• Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex, cross-functional challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Finance-related field
• Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
