Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of software solutions on VMware and OpenShift platforms to support JP Morgan Chase's financial services infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud-native technologies into core banking applications, ensuring scalability and reliability
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for financial transaction systems
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed systems handling high-volume trading and payment processing
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols in all software deployments
• Innovate on microservices architectures to enhance the efficiency of risk management and analytics tools
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning to deliver business-critical features on time
• Monitor and optimize application performance in production environments using tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Contribute to the strategic roadmap for cloud adoption within JP Morgan Chase's technology stack

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on cloud-native platforms like VMware and OpenShift
• Proven track record in leading engineering teams in designing and deploying scalable applications in financial services environments
• Strong understanding of containerization, orchestration, and microservices architecture
• Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in high-stakes financial systems
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data
• Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in troubleshooting complex distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with Java, Python, or Go in building enterprise-level applications
• Knowledge of financial regulations such as GDPR, SOX, and PCI-DSS compliance
• Prior work in hybrid cloud environments integrating VMware with OpenShift
• Certifications like Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

Required Skills

• Proficiency in VMware vSphere and Tanzu for virtualization and cloud management
• Expertise in Red Hat OpenShift for container orchestration and Kubernetes
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar languages
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD
• Knowledge of Docker and container security best practices
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as ELK Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Understanding of microservices, API design, and service mesh technologies like Istio
• Skills in database management, including SQL and NoSQL for financial data handling
• Agile and Scrum methodologies for team collaboration

• Knowledge of cloud security, encryption, and compliance in financial services
