Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams, providing technical coaching to enhance skills in building scalable financial applications
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions that support JP Morgan's core banking, trading, and risk management platforms
• Collaborate with product managers and business leaders to align technical roadmaps with strategic goals in the financial services sector
• Ensure all engineering practices adhere to regulatory standards, including data privacy, anti-money laundering (AML), and cybersecurity protocols
• Drive innovation by introducing modern technologies like microservices, AI/ML for fraud detection, and DevOps practices to improve system reliability
• Conduct code reviews, performance assessments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within teams
• Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and budgets for engineering initiatives in a fast-paced banking environment
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring high availability and resilience of critical financial systems
• Partner with global teams in JP Morgan's technology organization to integrate solutions across regions, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific market

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
• Proven track record of leading technical teams in the financial services industry, particularly in banking or fintech
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on secure financial applications
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach engineers on best practices in secure coding and compliance with regulations like GDPR and SOX
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including risk, compliance, and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing or leading projects involving real-time trading systems or payment processing at a major financial institution
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Scrum Master
• Prior work at JP Morgan Chase or similar global bank, with knowledge of internal tools and processes
• Advanced degree or specialized training in cybersecurity for financial systems
• International experience managing diverse, global teams in a 24/7 financial operations environment

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ for backend development in high-throughput financial systems
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or NoSQL options for handling financial data
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar for automated deployments

• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance frameworks like Basel III or PCI-DSS
