Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and originate new ABL opportunities with middle-market Commercial Banking clients, targeting loans secured by assets such as inventory, accounts receivable, and equipment
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, assessing their financing needs and presenting tailored ABL solutions
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including field exams, collateral audits, and financial analysis to structure deals
  • Collaborate with credit risk, legal, and operations teams to underwrite and close ABL transactions efficiently
  • Monitor portfolio performance, manage borrower relationships post-closing, and mitigate risks in the ABL book
  • Develop market strategies to grow JP Morgan Chase's ABL presence in the Dallas region and beyond
  • Provide mentorship to junior originators and contribute to team training on ABL best practices
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to inform business development
  • Prepare and present deal proposals to senior management and clients, highlighting risk-adjusted returns

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in asset-based lending (ABL), commercial lending, or related financial services roles
  • Proven track record of originating and structuring ABL deals with middle-market clients
  • Deep knowledge of credit analysis, collateral valuation, and risk management in ABL transactions
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in commercial banking
  • Experience working with Commercial Banking clients in industries such as manufacturing, retail, or wholesale

Preferred Qualifications

  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or equivalent
  • Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
  • Familiarity with syndicated lending and capital markets
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and ABL software tools
