As a Senior Principal Architect - ServiceNow - Executive Director in our London office, you will provide strategic expertise and architectural excellence to enhance, build, and deliver ServiceNow capabilities across the firm. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will lead the design of robust, scalable ServiceNow solutions that align with our core businesses in investment banking, asset management, and consumer banking, ensuring seamless integration with our proprietary financial systems and adherence to stringent regulatory standards. In this executive-level role, you will architect comprehensive ServiceNow implementations that optimize IT service management, automate risk and compliance processes, and drive operational resilience in a high-stakes financial environment. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, engineering teams, and external partners to translate complex requirements—such as real-time trade monitoring or regulatory reporting—into innovative, secure architectures. Your work will directly impact JP Morgan's ability to navigate market volatility and deliver exceptional client experiences, leveraging ServiceNow's full suite of modules including ITSM, ITOM, and GRC to foster efficiency and innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end ServiceNow solutions to support JP Morgan Chase's IT service delivery, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and regulatory compliance in the financial sector
• Lead the development and implementation of ServiceNow platform enhancements, including custom workflows, integrations, and automations tailored to banking and investment services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to translate complex financial business requirements into scalable architectural blueprints
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architecture teams, ensuring best practices in ServiceNow development and deployment within a secure, high-availability environment
• Evaluate and integrate emerging ServiceNow features and third-party tools to optimize processes like incident management, change management, and asset tracking for global financial operations
• Conduct architectural reviews and risk assessments to mitigate potential issues in ServiceNow implementations, aligning with JP Morgan's enterprise risk framework
• Drive innovation by prototyping new ServiceNow capabilities that support digital transformation initiatives in areas like client servicing and compliance reporting
• Monitor platform performance and scalability, recommending optimizations to handle high-volume transactions typical in financial services
• Ensure adherence to security standards and data privacy regulations, integrating ServiceNow with JP Morgan's cybersecurity ecosystem

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years focused on ServiceNow platform implementation and optimization
• Proven track record of leading enterprise-level ServiceNow deployments in a financial services environment
• Deep expertise in ServiceNow modules including IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
• Strong understanding of financial regulatory requirements such as GDPR, SOX, and Basel III, with experience integrating ServiceNow solutions to ensure compliance
• Experience in agile methodologies and DevOps practices for delivering scalable cloud-based architectures
• Certifications such as Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ServiceNow, ITIL v3/v4, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
• Experience working in a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase, with exposure to high-stakes trading and risk management systems
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification
• Knowledge of integration with financial systems like core banking platforms, CRM tools, and data analytics solutions
• Prior leadership of cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization

Required Skills

• Expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture and configuration
• Proficiency in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration technologies like Integration Hub
• Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service management best practices
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure in a hybrid ServiceNow environment
