Key Responsibilities

• Set the strategic technology direction for the Securitized Products division, aligning with JP Morgan Chase's broader firm-wide goals in capital markets
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of C++-based platforms for securitized products trading, pricing, and risk assessment
• Drive critical programs to enhance system performance, scalability, and resilience in high-volume trading environments
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, quantitative analysts, and traders to innovate tech-driven solutions for mortgage-backed securities and asset-backed securities
• Oversee a team of senior engineers, fostering innovation and ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering
• Identify and mitigate technology risks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal governance standards
• Champion the adoption of emerging technologies like AI and cloud computing to optimize securitized products workflows
• Mentor and develop talent within the engineering organization, promoting a culture of continuous learning
• Partner with global teams to integrate Securitized Products technology across JP Morgan's international operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in C++ development
• Proven track record in leading large-scale technology initiatives in financial services, particularly in securitized products or capital markets
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing high-performance, low-latency systems for trading and risk management
• Experience with regulatory compliance in financial technology, including knowledge of SEC and FINRA requirements
• Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in a global financial institution

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science or Finance
• Prior experience at a major investment bank working on fixed income or derivatives platforms
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in a cloud environment
• Certification in financial engineering or quantitative finance
• Experience with machine learning applications in securitized products analytics

Required Skills

• Expert-level proficiency in C++ programming, including modern standards (C++11/14/17)
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments, especially securitized products like MBS and ABS
• Experience with low-latency systems, multithreading, and performance optimization
• Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
• Familiarity with financial databases and real-time data processing (e.g., KDB+, SQL)
• Skills in risk modeling and quantitative analysis using C++ libraries
• Leadership and team management in agile environments
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
