Key Responsibilities

  • Execute trades in short-term interest rate products, including futures, swaps, and deposits, to manage the firm's risk and capitalize on market opportunities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to structure client solutions and provide market color on interest rate movements
  • Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate interest rate risk across the portfolio
  • Utilize quantitative models to price instruments and assess liquidity in the short-term rates market
  • Interact with traders, structurers, and risk managers to ensure compliance with internal limits and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to desk initiatives for process improvements, including automation of trade execution and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree (MBA or Master's) preferred for Vice President level
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in interest rates trading, fixed income markets, or related financial services roles
  • Strong understanding of short-term interest rate products including Fed Funds, SOFR, and money market instruments
  • Proven track record in trading, risk management, or market-making within a major financial institution
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis using tools like Excel, Python, or VBA
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or equivalent regulatory qualifications required
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience trading at a top-tier investment bank such as JP Morgan Chase or similar
  • Familiarity with electronic trading platforms and algorithmic trading strategies
