Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure to support JP Morgan Chase's global financial platforms
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to ensure 99.99% uptime for trading and banking systems
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to automate deployments and optimize application performance in cloud environments
• Conduct root cause analysis on production incidents and drive improvements to prevent recurrence in high-volume transaction processing
• Manage on-call rotations and respond to critical issues affecting customer-facing financial services
• Enhance security postures by integrating SRE practices with compliance requirements like GDPR and SOX
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery while maintaining reliability in a regulated industry
• Mentor junior engineers on SRE best practices and contribute to internal knowledge sharing within the technology organization
• Monitor and analyze system metrics to proactively identify bottlenecks in data-intensive financial workloads
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity for JP Morgan Chase's operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production issues in high-stakes environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with regulatory compliance (e.g., FINRA, SEC)
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
• Background in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Familiarity with SRE principles from Google's SRE book or similar frameworks
• Prior work at a large-scale financial institution handling mission-critical systems
