Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure for JP Morgan Chase's Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Markets Post Trade Technology platforms
• Collaborate with development teams to automate deployment processes and ensure zero-downtime releases in mission-critical trading systems
• Monitor system performance, proactively identify bottlenecks, and optimize for low-latency operations in high-volume financial transactions
• Develop and maintain SRE best practices, including SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets tailored to post-trade workflows
• Lead incident response efforts, conduct post-mortems, and drive continuous improvements to reduce MTTR in a 24/7 global markets environment
• Integrate security and compliance measures into infrastructure, adhering to regulations like Dodd-Frank and MiFID II
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the SRE community within JP Morgan Chase, fostering innovation in financial technology
• Utilize data analytics to predict and mitigate risks in post-trade settlement and clearing systems
• Partner with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems, migrating to cloud-native architectures while minimizing business disruption

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on financial services infrastructure
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Proven track record in monitoring, alerting, and incident management in high-stakes environments
• Understanding of financial markets, post-trade processes, and regulatory compliance in the CIB sector

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Google Professional SRE
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in markets and post-trade technology
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Terraform
• Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk in a trading environment
• Master's degree in a technical field or MBA with a focus on fintech
