Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure for JP Morgan Chase's global financial systems
• Collaborate with development teams to automate deployments and ensure zero-downtime releases in trading and banking platforms
• Monitor system performance, proactively identify bottlenecks, and optimize for high availability in 24/7 financial operations
• Lead incident response efforts, conduct post-mortems, and drive improvements to reduce MTTR in critical financial services
• Implement security measures and compliance controls to protect sensitive financial data against cyber threats
• Develop and maintain tools for infrastructure as code, enabling rapid scaling during market volatility
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to SRE best practices within JP Morgan's technology organization
• Analyze and resolve complex reliability issues in distributed systems supporting payments, risk management, and client services
• Integrate observability solutions to provide real-time insights into system health for executive decision-making
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure uninterrupted service for global banking and investment activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on financial services compliance
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• Proven track record in monitoring, alerting, and incident management in high-stakes environments
• Understanding of security best practices and regulatory requirements in the financial sector (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a large-scale financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Google Professional SRE
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes in production environments
• Background in agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines for mission-critical applications
• Knowledge of observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk tailored to financial data
