Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure for JP Morgan Chase's global financial systems
• Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure 99.99% uptime for mission-critical trading and banking platforms
• Develop and automate reliability engineering practices, including incident response and chaos engineering
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate SRE principles into the software development lifecycle
• Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive measures
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations by embedding security and audit controls in infrastructure
• Drive innovation in cloud-native technologies to modernize legacy systems in the financial services sector
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the SRE community within JP Morgan Chase
• Participate in on-call rotations to support 24/7 operations of global financial networks
• Optimize costs and resource utilization in cloud environments while maintaining high reliability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering
• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• In-depth knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
• Proven track record in automating infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with financial services regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline
• Experience in high-frequency trading systems or mission-critical financial applications
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator
