Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure to support JP Morgan Chase's global financial platforms, ensuring 99.99% uptime for critical services
• Develop and automate monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to proactively identify and mitigate risks in trading and payment systems
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate reliability practices into the software development lifecycle, adhering to financial regulatory standards
• Perform root cause analysis on production incidents and drive post-mortem improvements to enhance system resilience
• Optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency in cloud environments while maintaining security and compliance for sensitive financial data
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for mission-critical applications in a fast-paced banking environment
• Contribute to the evolution of SRE tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines tailored to JP Morgan's intelligent platform operations
• Mentor junior engineers on SRE principles and foster a culture of reliability across cross-functional teams
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for high-volume transaction processing systems
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations by implementing robust logging, auditing, and disaster recovery strategies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering roles
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on financial services infrastructure
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Go for automation and tooling
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and incident management in high-stakes environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage on-call rotations and respond to production incidents in 24/7 global operations
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards relevant to financial institutions (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with trading systems or payment platforms
• Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) or SRE methodologies
• Prior work at a large-scale financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Knowledge of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes in a regulated environment
• Experience with AI/ML integration for predictive reliability in financial operations

Required Skills

• Expertise in Linux/Unix systems administration and networking
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible
