Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure for JP Morgan Chase's core banking and trading platforms
  • Collaborate with development teams to automate deployments and ensure zero-downtime releases in a 24/7 financial operations environment
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify bottlenecks to support high-frequency trading and real-time transaction processing
  • Develop and optimize observability solutions to provide insights into system health and compliance with regulatory standards like SOX and GDPR
  • Lead incident response efforts, conducting post-mortems to enhance system resilience and prevent disruptions in global financial markets
  • Implement infrastructure as code practices using tools like Terraform to manage hybrid cloud environments securely
  • Contribute to SRE best practices, including SLO/SLI definitions, to align with JP Morgan's commitment to innovation and reliability
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement in reliability engineering

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering roles
  • Proven track record in managing high-availability systems in a financial services environment
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with hands-on experience in infrastructure as code
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with a focus on compliance and risk management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
