Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure to support JP Morgan Chase's global financial platforms
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring 99.99% uptime for mission-critical trading and banking systems
• Collaborate with development teams to automate deployments and integrate reliability practices into the software development lifecycle
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and develop proactive measures to prevent disruptions in financial operations
• Implement security best practices and compliance controls for cloud-based financial services infrastructure
• Drive innovation by adopting emerging technologies like AI/ML for predictive reliability in trading systems
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the Site Reliability Engineering team
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure rapid response to production issues affecting client transactions
• Optimize costs and resource utilization in cloud environments while maintaining high availability for global markets
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing for JP Morgan's core banking applications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on financial services infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-availability systems in a regulated environment like banking
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk for mission-critical applications
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with compliance standards like PCI-DSS or SOX
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools in a large-scale enterprise
• Background in incident management and post-mortem analysis for global financial systems
• Master's degree in a relevant technical field or MBA with a focus on technology management

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go for automation scripting
• Expertise in Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration
• Strong knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud services
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Prometheus and Grafana
