Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business rules using IBM ODM to enhance fraud prevention capabilities in JP Morgan Chase's applications
• Collaborate with agile teams including business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate fraud detection requirements into actionable rules
• Test and validate rule implementations to ensure accuracy, performance, and compliance with financial industry standards
• Integrate ODM rules with core banking systems and real-time transaction monitoring tools
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to continuously improve team processes
• Troubleshoot and optimize rule engines for high-volume financial transactions
• Document rule logic, decision models, and deployment procedures for audit and maintenance purposes
• Stay updated on emerging fraud trends and regulatory changes to evolve rule sets proactively
• Support production deployments and monitor system performance in a 24/7 financial services environment
• Mentor junior engineers on ODM best practices and fraud engineering principles

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 2-4 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on rule-based systems or decision management
• Proficiency in IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) for designing and implementing business rules
• Experience in agile methodologies and collaborative team environments
• Strong understanding of fraud detection and prevention in financial services
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment handling sensitive financial data
• U.S. work authorization and willingness to relocate to Plano, TX

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java programming and integration with enterprise systems
