Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with agile teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions for post-trade technology platforms
  • Implement secure, high-performance applications handling trade confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure reliability and compliance with financial standards
  • Optimize existing systems for efficiency and scalability in high-volume trading environments
  • Work closely with traders, compliance officers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver innovative features
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real-time, minimizing downtime in global markets
  • Contribute to the adoption of modern technologies like microservices and containerization in JP Morgan's tech stack
  • Ensure all developments adhere to JP Morgan's security protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software engineering within the team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in software development, preferably in financial services
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages
  • Experience with agile methodologies and collaborative team environments
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and data privacy regulations in finance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with cross-functional teams
  • Japanese language proficiency (business level) for Tokyo-based operations
