Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications for asset management platforms, ensuring reliability and scalability
• Collaborate with agile teams including product owners, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver market-leading solutions
• Implement secure, compliant code adhering to JP Morgan Chase's standards and financial regulations
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to optimize application performance in real-time trading environments
• Integrate third-party APIs and data feeds for portfolio analytics and risk management tools
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps for asset management technology
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to minimize downtime in 24/7 global operations
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to innovate within JP Morgan's asset management ecosystem
• Document technical specifications and ensure knowledge transfer across distributed teams
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance data security and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• At least 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in financial services or asset management
• Proven experience in agile methodologies and full software development lifecycle
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages with a focus on scalable applications
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure in a regulated financial environment
• Knowledge of financial regulations like MiFID II, GDPR, and asset management compliance standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, global team

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Finance-related field
• Experience with front-office trading systems or portfolio management tools in asset management
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark for financial data processing
