Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable AWS-based cloud infrastructure to support JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms
  • Collaborate with software development teams to migrate on-premises applications to AWS, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity
  • Implement and maintain security controls, monitoring, and compliance features for cloud environments in line with regulatory requirements
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency while maintaining performance for high-volume transaction processing
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools and integrate with DevOps pipelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud-related issues in production environments
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to best practices for cloud engineering within the team
  • Stay updated on AWS innovations and recommend adoption for enhancing financial services capabilities
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for cloud-based systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on cloud infrastructure
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, and IAM
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and compliance standards in financial services (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC 2)
  • Ability to work in an agile environment with cross-functional teams
