Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services for JP Morgan Chase's investment platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate back-end systems with front-end applications and third-party APIs
• Implement secure, efficient data processing pipelines handling sensitive financial transactions
• Optimize system performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in the financial sector
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to uphold code quality and reliability
• Participate in agile sprints, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues in real-time for mission-critical banking applications
• Stay updated on emerging technologies to enhance back-end infrastructure for global investment services
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation within the Madrid engineering team
• Contribute to the documentation and knowledge sharing of back-end architectures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in back-end software development
• Proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented programming languages
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated financial services environment
