Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable software solutions for JP Morgan's trading and risk management platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams including product managers, data scientists, and compliance experts to deliver market-leading financial products
• Implement robust testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance testing, to ensure system reliability in high-stakes financial environments
• Optimize code for performance and scalability to handle millions of daily transactions across global markets
• Integrate third-party APIs and services while adhering to JP Morgan's strict security and regulatory standards
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to technical debt reduction initiatives
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using tools like Splunk or ELK stack to maintain 99.99% uptime
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance JP Morgan's competitive edge in fintech
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations by incorporating audit trails and encryption in all developed features

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on full-stack or backend engineering
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages used in financial systems
• Experience working in agile environments with tools like JIRA or Confluence
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and data privacy regulations in finance (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable systems handling high-volume financial transactions
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure in a regulated industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Knowledge of financial protocols such as FIX or SWIFT for trading systems
